Anderson’s Books, a fifth-generation family business co-owned by ABA Vice President Becky Anderson, has been named PW Bookseller of the Year. PW’s Rep of the Year is John Eklund.

Fifty-six high school students have been named winners of book gift certificates in the inaugural year of James Patterson’s “Book Dollars for Scholars” program. Prizes are redeemable at IndieBound-affiliated bookstores.

On Monday, January 10, at its Midwinter Meeting in San Diego, the American Library Association announced the winners of its Caldecott and Newbery medals and other awards for the best children’s and young adult literature.
