Kobo Specials Available to New & Participating Stores

Kobo is extending its BEA show special on eReading devices to June 30 for all ABA member stores. In addition, a special Father’s Day promotion offers a free sleepcover for the Arc, and Workman is offering an exclusive Kobo eBook edition of Jessica’s Hagy’s How to Be Interesting, with How to Be Interesting After You Graduate: A Digital Short as an extra chapter at the end.

NPR Kobo Brand Campaign Underway

Kobo eReaders and eBooks are featured in a national brand campaign on NPR that began on Monday, June 3, and will continue until the end of 2013.

Kobo to Fund NPR Underwriting Campaign to Strengthen Kobo Brand in U.S.

Beginning immediately after BEA, Kobo eReaders and eBooks will be featured in a national brand campaign on NPR that will run until the end of the year. The news was announced first to ABA member bookstores participating in the Kobo program in an e-mail update on May 23.

Study Finds No Technical Reasons for Closed E-Book Ecosystems

At its annual conference held last Thursday, May 16, in Brussels, the European & International Booksellers Federation released the results of a study that found no technical or functional obstacles to an open e-book ecosystem.
