The 2021 catalog will feature titles nominated by American Booksellers Association bookstore members as well as titles nominated by publishers.

New this year, booksellers can submit their nomination using Edelweiss. Just as a bookseller would nominate for the Indie Next List, they can also nominate children’s titles for the ABC Catalog.

Bookseller panelists discussed how they've used the new hybrid world of bookselling to their advantage by making efficient email marketing campaigns; creating dynamic, community-focused virtual events; and more. 

The session included a live demonstration from Shaina Mahler and Justin Gold of Above the Treeline, as well as tips from a panel of booksellers.

In response to the renewed Black Lives Matter movement and the surge in sales of antiracism books, publishers have created a number of book lists on Edelweiss that feature the topics of diversity, race, antiracism, and more.

Edelweiss360 is a new service that helps booksellers efficiently craft and send store-branded, personalized emails to customers based on individual purchase behavior and staff knowledge of customers.

The new report will strengthen the company’s mission to help book professionals “work better, read more” by making inventory and sales analysis more intuitive and actionable for independent booksellers.

Arcadia and Edelweiss+ have teamed up to offer indie booksellers easy access to hyper-local collections of titles unique to each specific store and community as part of the YourTown Store Match program.

Edelweiss puts booksellers’ reading preferences in front of sales reps, provides access to digital review copies and Indie Next List nomination options, and offers tools for communicating plans for big titles.
