    July–September 2017: ABA Member Stores Opening/Sold

    The third quarter of 2017 saw 19 ABA member store openings and five sales of existing businesses to new owners. Among the openings are a bookstore pub, a mobile bookstore, and new branches of established bookstores.

    San Diego residents Seth Marko and Jen Powell have purchased Anne Mery’s West Grove Collective, a book and gift store they are rebranding as The Book Catapult, a general-interest bookstore.

    Bookstore Trainers to Launch Hybrid Model Bookstore

    Mark and Donna Paz Kaufman of The Bookstore Training Group of Paz & Associates have announced plans to launch Story & Song Neighborhood Bookstore Bistro in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
