Penguin Indie Partnership Deadline December 15

Indie booksellers must sign up by December 15 to take advantage of Penguin’s  “Independent Bricks & Mortar Full-Service Bookstore Retail Partnership,” which goes into effect on January 1, 2013.

S&S Offers Assistance in Wake of Sandy

Simon & Schuster has created a Hurricane Sandy relief effort that offers multiple copies of 20 new releases and bestsellers free of charge to  retail accounts damaged by the storm.

Penguin and Random House to Merge

On Monday, October 29, Pearson and Bertelsmann confirmed plans to merge their trade publishing groups. The new company will be called Penguin Random House and will include all the English, Spanish, and Portuguese language interests of both the Penguin Group and Random House.
