Twenty-eight booksellers have been named the recipients of publisher-sponsored scholarships to the American Booksellers Association's Fourth Annual Winter Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Registration for the American Booksellers Association's Fourth Annual Winter Institute, a free two-day education symposium exclusively for ABA bookstore and provisional members, is now almost booked to capacity. Event registration is capped at 500 participants.

The American Booksellers Association has announced changes to its Fourth Annual Winter Institute program schedule to allow for the addition of a new session: "Above the Treeline Electronic Catalog Solution: A Demonstration."

Booksellers interested in entering the drawing for publisher-sponsored scholarships to the Fourth Annual Winter Institute (Wi4) have until next Friday, October 17, to submit their names and contact information to the American Booksellers Association.

The American Booksellers Association would like to hear from members who have hosted creative and fun events to promote graphic novels and comics -- including book clubs, comic slams, mini comic conventions, or similar events. Booksellers' input will help guide ABA's Education Department staff as they formulate content for the Fourth Annual Winter Institute's session "Creative Graphic Novel Events and Marketing."
