The Holiday Gift Guide will feature books from categories that do not often make the monthly Indie Next or quarterly Kids Next Lists, and will highlight the most recommended Gift Books that indie booksellers are excited about for the 2018 holiday season, including cookbooks, art and photography books, pop-up, novelty, and stocking stuffer books. Booksellers at ABA member stores are encouraged to use this form to submit nominations for the Indie Next List Holiday Gift Guide (each form has space for 6 nominations; booksellers can submit as many forms as they would like).

Alternatively, nominations may be emailed to [email protected].  When emailing nominations to [email protected] please be sure to let us know your name along with your bookstore's name, city, and state.

Booksellers can also submit through Edelweiss. On Edelweiss, navigate to the Edelweiss book page of your choice, click on "Your Review," and select "Submit to Indie Next." In your review, please reference that this is intended for the Holiday Gift Guide.

Nominate Titles for the Indie Next List Holiday Gift Guide

Tips:

  • For the Holiday Gift Guide, we're looking for categories that make great gifts, but don't necessarily make our normal Next Lists: cookbooks, art and photography books, pop-up, novelty, coffee table, and stocking stuffer books.
  • Write conversationally, just as if you were talking about a favorite title with a customer in the store.
  • Don't be intimidated by the quotes you see in the final Indie Next List. They've all been edited! (We'll take care of the grammar and punctuation....)
  • Remind other staff members in your store to submit too!

Thank you!
