IndieCommerce Institute
ABA presented two IndieCommerce Institutes for ABA members/IndieCommerce stores in fall, 2013. Each Institute featured moderated panel discussions, a Kobo update, and two breakout tracks: one that addressed the needs of most users, and one appropriate to very experienced users. Pricing
All fees were non-refundable.
Early bird special pricing expired on August 5.
Main Session— $99 per person
Advanced Seminar (limit one person per store) —$130 per person
Beginning August 5:
Main Session— $120 per person
Advanced Seminar (limit one person per store) —$150 per person
Program
The day began and ended with plenary sessions for all attendees. The morning panel discussion examined how stores support their website: the number of fte’s devoted to different aspects of their sites, job descriptions and descriptions of workflow. The afternoon panel discussion examined “best practices” for promoting an e-commerce website.
Main Session
The main session was structured into four mini courses, each lasting approximately one hour:

- eCommerce 202—Custom Products
- How to Improve Your Site—Design Tips
Advanced Seminar
The Advanced Seminar was intended to facilitate a group discussion among advanced users about work supporting their respective sites.
One-on-one Session
IndieCommerce staff was available the day before each Institute to meet for individualized one-on-one attention.
