  I absolutely could not put this book down as it drew me completely into the life of the main character, a teen who has spent her entire life in isolation in her own home in order to stay alive. It is a momentary glance out the window that changes everything and suddenly Madeline wants things she never desired before. Each glimpse into the world beyond makes her hunger insatiable and puts her entire world at risk. Whatever you do, don’t read the ending to this book first as it is a huge surprise. I read this in one sitting.
