This week, the American Booksellers Association announced the appointment of Robyn DesHotel as the organization’s new chief financial officer, effective March 2, 2015.

DesHotel comes to ABA from PEN American Center, Inc., where she has served as the organization’s director of finance and administration since 2010. A graduate of Rice University and the Stanford Graduate School of Business, DesHotel brings more than 20 years of finance-related experience to her new position at ABA.

She will be replacing long-time ABA CFO Eleanor Chang, who in September 2014 announced her plans to retire.

“We could not be more happy that Robyn is joining ABA,” said association CEO Oren Teicher. “Her background and experiences position her extremely well to strengthen our efforts on behalf of our members. Eleanor leaves a strong legacy here, and I’m confident that Robyn will help us continue to build upon it.”

Booksellers will have the opportunity to meet DesHotel at next week’s Winter Institute in Asheville, North Carolina.
