IndieLite, the new e-commerce platform under development by the American Booksellers Association, will be a solution for bookstores that are just getting started in e-commerce or those that want a website requiring very little time and effort to maintain.

IndieLite offers minimal e-commerce essentials as a low-cost alternative for stores that are not yet ready to take advantage of IndieCommerce, ABA’s full-featured e-commerce platform with powerful online marketing tools.

IndieLite’s features will include a mobile-friendly design and an events calendar. Based on bookseller input at Winter Institute 12, ABA also recently added in-store fulfillment and pick-up of online orders.

A list of IndieLite’s current features and a comparison with those of IndieCommerce can be found at IndieLite.org. Some IndieLite features may be added or removed as testing and development progresses.

There is no sign-up fee for IndieLite and the subscription cost will be $50 per month. Stores must be current ABA members to subscribe.

All one-on-one sessions will be held in the Glisan Room at the Red Lion Hotel on the River – Jantzen Beach. Ci5 attendance is not required to meet with IndieCommerce staff.
