Appointments Being Accepted for Winter Institute 10’s Consultation Station

The Consultation Station, featuring representatives from the American Booksellers Association’s affiliated business solution partners, POS vendors, and others, returns to the Winter Institute on Tuesday, February 10, and Wednesday, February 11, 2015. The Consultation Station will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday with most vendors set up in the Grove Park Inn’s Skyline Room.

Booksellers who are interested in meeting with specific vendors are encouraged to set up appointments in advance; contact information is provided below and on the Consultation Station page on BookWeb.org.

If during the Wi10 registration process booksellers granted permission for Consultation Station participants to contact them directly, they may receive e-mails from company representatives before the event.

Above the Treeline
Above the Treeline offers two web-based tools — the Edelweiss online catalog system and Treeline Analytics — to help booksellers efficiently manage their inventory and assortment.

Addico Solutions – Basil Bookseller Software
Basil is a complete, web-based inventory control system that supports new, used, and online book sales, and it now offers mobile capability to provide even more options.

American Booksellers for Free Expression
ABFE offers advice and other resources for booksellers on free speech issues, dealing with problems at author events, protecting customer privacy, celebrating Banned Books Week, and more. ABFE will be set up at the Grove Park Inn on the Atrium Landing across from the Grand Ballroom.

Representatives from Independent Bookstore Day (IBD) will be available to answer questions about the inaugural celebration, set for May 2, 2015. Booksellers can get advice on marketing and publicity, events and promotions, and more. Special for Winter Institute attendees: Stores can change and/or place IBD orders through Wednesday, February 11, at noon.

PartnerShip
The ABA Shipping Program, managed by PartnerShip®, provides members with discounts on small package and freight shipments through FedEx, UPS Freight, YRC Freight, and others. PartnerShip will be in the Winter Institute’s Galley Room or the Shipping Rooms.

Women’s National Book Association/National Reading Group Month
