The American Booksellers Association’s first spring Booksellers Forum of 2012 will be held on Thursday, March 8, at Towne Book Center & Café in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, in conjunction with the New Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association (NAIBA). The program, which is designed to provide attendees with an opportunity to share ideas, discuss industry issues, and receive updates on various association projects, is open to all booksellers — ABA members and non-members alike.

The day will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the new education session “The Best of Winter Institute 7’s Best Practices,” a roundup of booksellers’ top tips on everything from children’s bookselling, human resources, and Google Analytics to marketing your store as a digital location, empowering your indie business alliance, and more.

The forum discussion will take place over lunch from noon to 2:00 p.m. Booksellers are encouraged to bring their questions and comments to the discussion.

ABA staff hosting the forum program includes CEO Oren Teicher, Content Officer Dan Cullen, and Member Relationship Manager Kaitlin Pitcher.

For planning purposes, anyone who will be attending the March 8 forum is asked to contact Pitcher via e-mail or at (800) 637-0037, ext. 6666, by March 3.
