The 2018 Silent Art Auction, sponsored by the ABC Children’s Group at ABA and the Children’s Book Council (CBC), will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, at New York City’s Javits Center. Proceeds from the event will benefit American Booksellers for Free Expression (ABFE) and Every Child a Reader.

Children’s book creators Selina Alko and Sean Qualls will serve as honorary chairs of the event and will announce the winners of the Children’s and Teen Choice Book Awards.

This year’s Silent Art Auction program will honor author and illustrator Ashley F. Bryan, whose picture book Freedom Over Me (Atheneum/Caitlyn Dlouhy Books) was recently named a Newbery honoree.
