ABA Governance: Cast Your Ballot to Elect Three Directors

Bookstore members of the American Booksellers Association are reminded to cast their ballots to elect three directors to serve three-year terms (2014 – 2017) on the ABA Board. A link to the ballot and to candidate bios was sent in an e-mail from ABA CEO Oren Teicher to all main stores on Monday, March 31.

Only one person per member company may vote, and the voter will need a BookWeb.org log-in to access the ballot as well as the store’s ABA Member ID number. (A store can find its ID number by contacting an ABA Member Relationship Manager.)

All voting is being conducted electronically, and balloting will close at midnight EDT on April 30. Ballots received after that date will not be counted.

The election results will be announced at the beginning of May, and the new Board members will be welcomed at the ABA Annual Membership Meeting to be held on Thursday, May 29, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., in conjunction with BookExpo America, at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The Membership Meeting will be preceded by ABA’s Town Hall meeting from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
