It’s time to stock up on banned books.

Just in time for this year’s Banned Books Week (September 27 – October 3), the Ingram Content Group is offering an additional discount on a list of 450 banned and challenged titles on ipage®, Ingram’s search and order content platform. This year’s promotion, which applies to initial orders of 30 or more books as well as subsequent orders, begins Monday, August 31, and will run through Monday, October 5.

The promotion began in 2013 when Ingram and the American Booksellers for Free Expression (ABFE) began mailing a free Banned Books Week display kit to stores that placed a minimum order. This year, the kit was sent in the August Red Box to the most active IndieBound stores and stores that received the kit last year.

American Booksellers Association members who have not received the display kit can still order one by participating in the Ingram promotion. ABA will mail the kits.

For more information about the Ingram program or to place an order, booksellers should contact their Ingram sales representative, call Ingram Customer Care at (800) 937-8200, or e-mail [email protected].

ABA members that have not received a kit and do not plan to place an order with Ingram can request one by emailing [email protected]. However, the supply is limited, and it may not be possible to send a kit to every store that wants one.
