Booksellers can now download the October Indie Next List Notable title recommendations in a flier and shelf-talkers on BookWeb.org. The titles, including fiction, nonfiction, and mystery/suspense, offer additional ways to create an October Indie Next Great Reads display. (A recent survey of indie booksellers found that 61.7 percent of the responding booksellers who create an Indie Next List display use a mix of Next List and Notables titles.)

Each month, the Indie Next List Notables feature engaging and entertaining writing -- all titles that have been enthusiastically recommended by indie booksellers nationwide.

The October Notables list includes the latest novel from acclaimed Irish writer William Trevor (Love and Summer, Viking) and four collections of stories for fans of short fiction (including Nocturnes by Kazuo Ishiguro, from Knopf). And for readers of mystery/suspense, there is the latest from Yasmina Khadra featuring Algerian police superintendent Brahim Llob (Dead Man's Share, Toby Press) and, from Ken Bruen and Reed Farrel Coleman, Busted Flush Press' Tower.

Booksellers with comments, questions, and suggestions for the Next List are encouraged to contact Dan Cullen, ABA senior director of editorial content, via e-mail.

Stores that need more copies of the Indie Next List fliers should e-mail ABA's Linda Ford.
