Random House Two-Day Transit Returns for Holidays

Random House has announced that its popular Two-Day Transit holiday shipping program will be back for a third year. The company’s sales executives and field reps have been communicating the news to their accounts and discussing it with attendees at the fall regional shows.

This year’s program continues elements of previous years:

  • From November 1, 2014 – January 30, 2015, orders received in the Random House order system by 3:00 p.m. ET will ship no later than the following business day with transit time — winter weather permitting — of no more than two days from the publisher’s loading dock to an account’s door.

  • All Random House adult and children’s hardcover and paperback frontlist and backlist are eligible, as well as titles published by Random House clients of Penguin Random House Publisher Services.

Penguin titles are not yet integrated into the company’s Westminster and Crawfordsville distribution facilities where Two-Day Transit originates, so they are not eligible this year. With next year’s integration of the Penguin and Random House systems, more tandem opportunities for accounts are expected from both sides of the company.
