Thanks to a significant financial commitment from Reed Exhibitions, booksellers at ABA member stores can reserve rooms at The Row NYC Hotel — Hotel ABA for BookExpo 2017 — at a rate of $200 per night, including all taxes and fees (approximately $33 per night per room). BookExpo will be held at New York’s Javits Convention Center from Wednesday, May 31, to Friday, June 2, 2017. The ABA members-only hotel rate is available for the nights of Tuesday, May 30, through Saturday, June 3, 2017; however, the room block is limited and reservations will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

To access Hotel ABA reservation information, booksellers will need a BookWeb username and password.

The Row NYC Hotel, which was selected by readers of Condé Nast Traveler as one of the top 35 hotels in New York City, is located at 700 Eighth Avenue.

To ensure BookExpo meets the needs of indie booksellers, last week Reed and the American Booksellers Association announced a number of changes, including the move of ABA’s Annual Celebration of Bookselling to Wednesday, the first day of event programming.

Other popular programming will also be returning and expanding: the 2017 show will feature two sessions of Publicists Speed Dating; Meet the Editors will once again take place at publishing houses throughout city; the Children’s Book Art Auction, co-sponsored with the Children’s Book Council, will return and include the announcement of the winners of Every Child a Reader’s Children’s and Teen Choice Book Awards; and more targeted educational sessions for booksellers as well as an increase in the number of galleys and ARCs in the Galley Room in the ABA Lounge will be offered.

Watch for BookExpo registration to open in early November.
