Richard Russo Offers Signed Copies of Interventions

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo and artist Kate Russo, his daughter, are offering signed copies of Interventions: A Novella & Three Stories, which was recently taken out of print by Down East Books, to independent bookstores at a 60 percent discount, or $16 a book. The original retail price was $40. In an e-mail to booksellers, Russo said, “There’s no reason not to continue selling it at or near this price (there are no remaindered copies and it is now classified as a rare book), but the choice to discount it is yours.”

The book is being sold nonreturnable. For each book ordered, the Russos will donate a dollar to the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression.
