Save the Date: ABA’s 2016 Spring Forum Schedule

The American Booksellers Association’s Spring Forums, which are held annually in conjunction with the regional booksellers associations, provide an opportunity for booksellers to share ideas, discuss industry issues, and receive updates on ABA projects from association staff. All indie booksellers — ABA members and non-members alike — are invited to take part in a forum in their area.

In addition to the open forum discussions, this spring’s nine forums will include the all-new ABA education session “Finding New Efficiencies in a Changing Retail Landscape.” In a rapidly evolving retail environment, booksellers need a business strategy that combines responsiveness with clear goals for success. ABA staff will lead a discussion that will help provide an overview and practical applications for stores working to maintain efficiencies in operations and payroll costs or that are facing other financial challenges.

Here’s a first look at the dates and locations for the 2016 Spring Forum season, which kicks off in Atlanta on March 1 and ends in New York City on April 19. Watch for details in upcoming editions of Bookselling This Week.
