Indies Introduce logosAmerican Booksellers Association member stores that are new to the Indies Introduce program must sign up by June 8 to take advantage of publisher specials on 10 adult titles and 10 children’s titles chosen by panels of ABA member booksellers from across the U.S. as the top debuts of the upcoming publishing season.

The Summer/Fall 2018 Indies Introduce program features titles for adults and for middle grade and young adult readers, all publishing between June and November 2018.

Booksellers will have the opportunity to hear from authors of the Summer/Fall Indies Introduce picks at BookExpo. “Booksellers Present Indies Introduce Authors,” to be held on Thursday, May 31, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on the Downtown Stage at the Javits Convention Center, will feature the bookseller panelists who curated the diverse list of upcoming titles and many of the authors, who will each read a short passage from their debuts and answer a question posed by a panelist. In addition, five Indies Introduce authors will appear at the Celebration of Bookselling Lunch on May 30 and will sign in the ABA Member Lounge later that afternoon.

For stores that have taken part in past Indies Introduce promotions, there’s no need to sign up to take advantage of publishers’ Summer/Fall offers; however, stores that are new to Indies Introduce must complete the Indies Introduce sign-up form by June 8 in order to participate in the program.

To access the list of titles with bookseller blurbs and full details on publishers’ offers, booksellers will need a BookWeb.org login name and password (e-mail [email protected] for login information). The Indies Introduce logo is available for download in BookWeb’s DIY and sell sheets will be included in the June Red Box mailing.
