Spaces Filling Up for Special Winter Institute and Pre-Institute Programs

Booksellers should register now to ensure they get a seat for special Winter Institute and pre-institute programming, including the Bookstore/Publisher Tours, IndieCommerce Institute, Leadership Workshop, Advanced Education Sessions, and Finance Seminar.

There are just a handful of seats left for the Advanced Education Sessions for owners and managers, “Understanding and Fostering Your Store Culture” and “Managing Managers,” which will take place on January 29. There are no additional fees for the advanced education sessions, but pre-registration is required.

The Bookstore/Publisher Tours will be held on January 27, prior to the Winter Institute’s opening reception. One full-day Bookstore/Publisher Tour has already sold out, and the number of booksellers signing up for the remaining full-day tour and the two half-day tours is growing. The full-day tour is $35 and the half-day tour is $25.

Seats also remain open for the IndieCommerce Institute, the Leadership Workshop, and the Paz Workshop: Introduction to Retail Bookselling, each of which requires a separate registration fee, as well as the Bookstore Finance Seminar, which is free to Winter Institute registrants (note: day and time subject to change).

Space at all of Wi12’s special programs is limited, and certain restrictions apply; booksellers are encouraged to register as soon as possible to secure a seat.

Booksellers may cancel their Winter Institute registration at any time by e-mailing [email protected]. Cancellations received prior to November 15 are eligible for a full refund of registration fees. Cancellations received on or after November 15 are not eligible for refund.
