Still Time to Purchase Tickets for Lunch or Tea With Children’s Book Authors

On Friday afternoon, May 13, at BookExpo America 2016, booksellers will have two opportunities to connect with children’s book authors and illustrators: the ABC/CBC Speed Dating Lunch With Children’s Authors, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., and the ABC/CBC Tea With Children’s Authors and Illustrators, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Tickets are still available to ABA member booksellers and friends of the Children’s Book Council (CBC); however, preregistration and prepayment are required.

The 20 authors who will pitch their new or upcoming titles to booksellers at the Speed Dating Lunch are:

Tickets for the lunch are $30 each. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Booksellers will receive their table assignments via e-mail prior to BEA. Purchase Speed Dating tickets now.

The Tea With Children’s Authors and Illustrators will provide booksellers with the opportunity to share an intimate and relaxing teatime with a beloved author or illustrator. Booksellers will choose four authors or illustrators from the list of participants below and will meet with three of them.
