Wi3 Plans Changing? ABA Needs to Know

Winter Institute registrants who are no longer planning to attend the January 24 - 27 event in Louisville, Kentucky, are asked to contact the American Booksellers Association's Program Assistant, Margaret Nafz ([email protected]), as soon as possible to cancel both their event and hotel reservations. The association is making the request so that other ABA member booksellers who have been put on waiting lists for the booked-to-capacity event and hotel can fill their places.

Although hotel reservations were made directly with the Louisville Marriott Downtown, booksellers are asked to notify the association of their desire to cancel so their rooms will remain in the Wi3 block and another ABA member can take advantage of the special room rate.

Wi3 education program registrants who do not have confirmed reservations at the Louisville Marriott Downtown have been booking rooms at other hotels. If rooms at the event hotel become available, ABA is notifying booksellers in order of their position on the waiting list.

A number of hotels are within blocks of the Louisville Marriott Downtown; however, special rates have not been negotiated with those hotels. (ABA reminds booksellers to read the hotel's cancellation policy carefully before booking a room.)
