Advanced Learning Opportunities
Experienced booksellers, owners, and managers can take advantage of two unique learning sessions during Winter Institute.
Read more about each of the Advanced Learning Sessions, Managing the Changing Workplace, and Bookseller "Shark Tank": Pitch an Idea for Business Expansion , then indicate your interest when you register for Winter Institute. Booksellers must meet certain criteria to attend, and space is limited. Booksellers will be notified about placement in December.

ABA's Winter Institute comes to the scenic Pacific Northwest! Join your independent bookselling colleagues in vibrant Seattle for three-plus days of networking, special events, and professional development.
The Winter Institute is open exclusively to Regular and Provisional ABA Members, and invited guests. Registration is capped at 500 booksellers and is first-come, first-served, with a maximum of three (3) registrants per member business. A wait list will be formed when the cap is reached. The 2014 Winter Institute conference fee is $79.99 per person and is nonrefundable.

The Seattle Gift Show is a wholesale trade show for professional buyers of the gift and home furnishings industries. One form of personal identification and two forms of business identification will be required for admittance to the show.
The Westin Seattle is offering booksellers the ABA hotel rate during the Seattle Gift Show.

Paz & Associates Bookstore Training Group is conducting a one-day seminar on bookstore fundamentals at the Westin Seattle on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 for ABA provisional members and employees of regular member stores.
