Batch for Books is a web-based platform that bookstores can use to manage invoices across multiple publishers and streamline the payment management process.
In this session, longtime veteran of the indie bookstore community and current Program Manager for Batch for Books U.S. Nathan Halter will present what Batch for Books is, how it works, and why it is a valuable tool, and he will provide a demonstration. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the Batch service.
Booksellers interested in attending should use the sign-up form at the bottom of the ABA Meetups page to join the appropriate mailing list. Signup is only necessary once to receive credentials for all Technology Meetups for the rest of 2021. A few hours before each event, ABA will send the meeting link to those who have signed up for the mailing list.

Booksellers are invited to speak with the board about any topics they wish. These forums offer an opportunity for booksellers to talk directly with board members, share questions, comments, and concerns.

ABA will send the meeting link to the entire membership a few hours before the event. There is no pre-registration requirement. If booksellers do not receive the email invitation (and cannot find it in their spam folder), they should reach out to [email protected].

Please note: the September session has changed from 9/16 to 9/9 and will return to the third Thursday of the month in October
A closed space for our LGBTQIA+ Booksellers and LGBTQIA+ bookstore owners only to gather for connection, support, community, resources, and networking. Booksellers interested in attending should use the sign-up form at the bottom of the ABA Meetups page to join the LGBTQIA+ Meetups mailing list. To ensure that this space belongs to the attendees, ABA staff will not be in attendance and another attendee will act as the host. Allies and those who do not identify as LGBTQIA+ should not attend.
