At Children’s Institute later this month, the debut authors will appear alongside booksellers to talk about their books.

This workshop focuses on the self-awareness, knowledge of historic and current racism, and skills necessary for white people to learn together. 

A portion of each sale is being donated to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation to assist bookstores impacted by COVID-19. 

To support booksellers nationwide who are working under extraordinary circumstances, Penguin Random House will accelerate to summer the start of its annual Two-Day Transit Program. 

In addition to a consistent conversion rate over the past week, stores that are open to customers on the weekends have reported an increase in in-store sales on Saturdays and Sundays.

Six $3,500 scholarships were awarded to dependents of booksellers, and one $5,000 scholarship went to a current indie bookseller who has overcome learning adversity or is a non‐traditional student.

The month of July will feature a Marketing Meetup on marketing as a small store, plus two Technology Meetups, one on cyber insurance and the other on Zoom.
