Booksellers can submit Town Hall questions or comments ahead of time at [email protected]. During the meeting, questions will be invited through the meeting’s Q&A interface.

On June 4, Indies Introduce bookseller panelists and debut authors will take part in a special virtual event to present the adult titles chosen for the Summer/Fall 2020 program.

Dr. Kendi told Bookselling This Week that he and author Jason Reynolds decided to hold the book club because there was a need in communities and classrooms across the country. 

The popular book club will now meet through June 3 to discuss Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You: A Remix of the National Book Award-winning Stamped From the Beginning.

With a new schedule launching in June, this regular live forum offers booksellers the opportunity to talk with one another about any bookselling-related topics.

Booksellers will be emailed a link to join the presentation; publishers will have the opportunity to watch the event via livestream.

This summer, the ABC Children’s Group is encouraging bookstores to share a reading journal that gives young customers the chance to slow down and explore their love of reading.

The Annual Meeting will take place at 2:00 p.m. ET with the Town Hall immediately following at 3:00 p.m. ET. ABA will provide details about the digital platform in the coming weeks.

Bestselling author Meg Cabot will be the Bookstore Romance Day Ambassador for 2020.
