In response to the extraordinary popularity of the Grove Park Inn, the 2015 Winter Institute host hotel, ABA has launched an online forum for potential room-sharing arrangements among booksellers.

A new social media forum has been launched on BookWeb.org at the request of ABA member booksellers. 

The organizers of BookExpo America and BookCon are inviting booksellers from the NAIBA region to a preshow meeting with Steve Rosato and Brien McDonald, to be held in conjunction with the Booksellers Forum on Tuesday, April 29, at ABA’s office.

More than 200 current and prospective booksellers have enjoyed conversation and education at the six regional Spring Booksellers Forums held this month. The schedule continues next week with three forums on the West Coast. 

ABA’s Spring Forum schedule will continue with three programs between March 26 and March 30 for booksellers and prospective booksellers in the Southern California, Northern California, and Pacific Northwest regions.

ABA will be hosting four Spring Forum programs for booksellers and prospective booksellers in the Great Lakes, Midwest, and Southern regions between Monday, March 10, and Friday, March 14.

For planning purposes, booksellers and prospective booksellers in the Mountains and Plains and Southern regions who are planning to attend an ABA Booksellers Forum set for Denver, Atlanta, or Memphis are asked to RSVP within the next few days.

ABA has invited booksellers and prospective booksellers in the Great Lakes and Midwest regions to its spring Booksellers Forums in Cleveland, Minneapolis, and Iowa City. Each will feature an open forum discussion and the education session “Conversations That Work.”

This week, ABA sent e-mails inviting booksellers and prospective booksellers in the MPIBA and SIBA regions to its spring Booksellers Forums. In addition to an open forum discussion, each will feature the ABA education session “Conversations That Work.”

A special thread started by ABA staff in the IndieCommerce Forum on BookWeb.org provides booksellers with the opportunity to offer constructive criticism of their colleagues’ store websites.

ABA member booksellers and non-members alike are invited to join ABA CEO Oren Teicher, Senior Program Officer Joy Dallanegra-Sanger, Content Officer Dan Cullen, and Member Relationship Manager Kaitlin Pitcher at [words] bookstore in Maplewood, New Jersey, next Wednesday, May 8, for an education session and an open forum discussion.

ABA bookseller members and non-members alike are invited to a Spring Forum to be held in conjunction with the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance on Tuesday, April 30, at Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
 

This season’s schedule of 11 ABA Booksellers Forums will come to an end on Wednesday, May 8, in Maplewood, New Jersey.
