ABA Management Book Club

Join other bookstore managers and owners to discuss selected management books, share best practices in staff management, solicit advice on staff development, and grow their skills as leaders in their stores. The Management Book Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 3pm ET.

While much of the focus for bookstore managers has been on financial and inventory management, a manager’s ability to lead their staff is arguably the most critical role they play in their stores. And yet, many managers have come to their positions without any formal training in personnel development and leadership skills. On the third Wednesday of each month, ABA Director of Education Kim Hooyboer will lead discussions on that month’s book selection.

Registration for the Management Book Club is only required once. Those who register will have access to upcoming sessions through the rest of 2023.
