New Features & Next Webinar

October 14, 2015

Dear IndieCommerce participant,

Sign Up Now for Order Processing Webinar

Our next webinar, Order Processing, Part 2, takes place on Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 2 — 3:30 pm ET. The webinar consists of a 60-minute presentation followed by a 30-minute Q & A.

On the agenda will be processing credit card orders, PayPal orders, and split gift card/credit card orders; sending orders to Ingram; and handling tax-exempt orders. While it is not required that you took part in the first Order Processing webinar, we do recommend that you view it before joining part 2. See the new Webinar Center for all webinar videos.

Space is limited to the first thirty stores that sign-up here.

New Features This Week

  1. Message Center — Your admin Message Center will now blink 5 times for each authorized admin when it contains unread messages. No more missed messages because no one visited the admin site in time, or noticed when the link was highlighted. Message Center will also note the number of unread messages. See the red Message Center below as an example:
  2. Out of stock products — New for those stores using the stock module for custom products: once you have sold through all of inventory for an item the customer will see an “Out of Stock” message, rather than the previous “Add to Cart” button. Here is an example of how the buttons look with a custom mug:
  3. Adding unpublished custom product to book list — Again for those stores creating custom products, admins can now add unpublished items to book lists. In edit mode, the admin will see the item in the Drupal pink (for unpublished), and in the view page the product will have a “Not Available” button instead of the “Add to cart” button, and importantly, customers will no longer be able to see unpublished custom products on book lists.

This feature will help store admins to create book lists with custom products in advance. Stores can also unpublish a custom product from a book list.
