IndieCommerce Feature Live Demo: Managing Staff and Customer “Roles”
Does your store offer loyalty programs or frequent buyer clubs? Would you like to extend those customer privileges to your IndieCommerce site for online orders? This can be done by assigning special “Roles” for customers on your IC site. In this live demo, we will cover the following:

-Assigning and managing roles for store staff

-Assigning and manage roles for customers, including bulk upload of customer emails

-A sample use case, including step-by-step instructions for automatic discounting and free shipping for loyalty program customers using “Rules”

This webinar will be 45 minutes in length, and includes time for Q&A. Click here to sign up for the webinar.

Offering Multiple Online Wishlists & Gift Registries to Your Customers
"Multiple Wish Lists" is an upgrade to the previous wish list/gift registry feature (which only allowed a single wish list per user). The wish list button appears next to the “Add to Cart” button on product pages, search results pages, and book lists. Instructions for enabling this feature are located here. Be sure to view the recording of the live demonstration as well.

Some Serious New Computing Power for Your Website
With a record number of stores joining IndieCommerce and IndieLite, we’re engaged in an ongoing project to increase the capacity, performance, and security of our infrastructure. Over the past several months, we have revamped our book data system, netting a 42% increase in search speed, and upgraded the database server that backs the IndieCommerce platform.

In the coming months, we will be implementing automatic denial-of-service detection and mitigation, improving the performance of our web servers, and implementing best practices to optimize web page performance for all IndieCommerce sites. Supported by a robust infrastructure, we’ll be able to continue to provide the best possible website experience for your store and your customers. Email [email protected] if you have any questions.

Thanks for reading. Feel free to email us with any thoughts, questions, or suggestions.
