The E-Commerce Newsletter For Booksellers          March 13, 2020

They’re Going to Your Bookstore’s Website

As customer traffic to many bookstores has dropped off due to the pandemic, many stores have turned to heavily promoting their websites as an alternative sales venue. Stores are offering new services such as free shipping, local free delivery and curbside pick-up that address their customer’s concerns about coming into a physical store. Stores are also creating text blocks on their websites’ homepages to keep their customers up to date on rapidly changing news about their store. If you need additional assistance with setting up these features on your IndieCommerce website, please reach out to [email protected]

If you are in need of a simple and easy to use e-commerce enabled website, we can help. From March 1st thru May 31st, 2020, ABA member stores can apply for an IndieLite website that includes the first 3 months free of charge. If the website does not fit your needs, you can cancel at any time. For more information, please email [email protected].

We’ve made adjustments to staff schedules over the past few weeks and, going forward, we’ll be making some changes to their schedules to accommodate rapidly changing health concerns. We’ve also recently brought on additional staff that is helping with the increasing customer support load. We are carefully monitoring our system as well as the needs of our member bookstores. If you have any questions or suggestions, we’re here for you at:  [email protected].

Thanks for reading. Feel free to email us with any thoughts, questions, or suggestions.
