Online Credit Card Fraud Alert
We're seeing an uptick in online credit card fraud on IndieCommerce and indieLite websites. Here are a few of the flags you might want to watch for when processing orders.

  • Watch for orders with shipping addresses and billing addresses that are just slightly different, but not the same.

  • Review the spreadsheet link on this page for email addresses and billing addresses that have been recently flagged as being used for fraudulent purchases.

If you are not the person at your store who processes orders on a regular basis, be sure to share the spreadsheet link on this page with them. It contains the latest fraud alert information and this help doc can provide additional help with online fraud detection. PLEASE be sure to email [email protected] if you suspect credit card fraud on your website. We will be happy to review any suspicious orders.

Independent Bookstore Day Products On IC and IL Websites
If you have an IndieCommerce or indieLite website and your store is participating in Independent Bookstore Day, the IC team will be offering a webinar on Wednesday March 30th that will cover how your website will automatically receive the catalog of all of the IBD products. There is no need to create custom products for IBD merchandise with this new feature. More info on this upcoming webinar to follow.

Upcoming Demo and Discussion of IndieCommerce 2.0 Features
The IndieCommerce team and our development partners at Lullabot are very excited about the progress we've been making on the new IndieCommerce 2.0 platform. For those stores attending the virtual Snow Days Bookselling Retreat, on March 9th, from 11:15am to 12:15pm ET there will be a demonstration followed by Q&A for current IndieCommerce and IndieLite users. You might also like to attend if your store is interested in a new website or e-commerce solution for your bookstore. Don't miss this preview and discussion.
