Blacks Bookshop Blacks Bookshop is a small country bookshop nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains where the East Fork of Little Sandy River meanders through Naples, KY. We are surrounded by hoot owls, whippoorwills, turkeys, and deer that freely roam. Broadway Books (KY) We are an independent bookstore located in downtown Ashland, KY. We opened our doors on August 5, 2022. We carry primarily new books of most every genre, as well as an ever growing collection of used books. We occupy a large space of 5,000 square feet in what was once a G.C. Murphy's building. A quarter of this space is dedicated to children, containing a Lego wall, a train table, a checkers floor rug and a large area for story hours. We also have a variety of gift items both for children and adults. In addition to these, we give local artisans a space to showcase their wares. Our warm and inviting space is a go-to spot for our downtown shoppers. You may find them playing chess or scrabble on one of our tables, reading a book in one of our cozy chairs, or browsing our large selection of books and gift items. |

We carry all of Wendell Berry's in print titles, along with rare signed books. The rest of our collection reflects Wendell's home library, Kentucky authors, handmade books and broadsides from Larkspur Press (Monterey, KY), books that serve our home community, a large children's section (upstairs), and best sellers.
