Between the Covers This small, independent bookstore is going on 41 years as a presence in Harbor Springs, a resort town in Northern Michigan whose year-round population of about 1,250 grows by over six times in the late spring and summer months. Kazoo Books We have 2 buildings facing the street with a large parking area behind the store. We carry a diverse selection of titles including mystery, science fiction, vintage, children, non-fiction history, spirituality and memoir as well as contemporary fiction. We place orders for new and used titles to fill customer requests several times a week. Our new books in stock keep growing every year. Our inventory remains at about 30,000 titles with an additional 5,000 titles online. Our online business includes new titles from local authors, collectible and signed books plus many rare and collectible titles. We offer a distribution outlet for authors. We allow trade in's and carefully add used books to our existing inventory. We also have a Blind Date program. Our ramp offers easy access to both buildings from our parking lot. We do curbside pickup as well as delivery or shipping on an order. We have a warehouse on site that has our internet books and provides staging for large batches of inventory to be sorted.
