AFK also pays cash on the spot for pre-enjoyed goodness in most of those categories. It's a fun shopping environment in 5,000 square feet of space, with well-lit, spacious aisles, comfortable seating and complimentary tea. Guitars and a store dog are scattered about for strumming and petting (note: dog prefers petting to strumming). A rousing, occasionally brutal, chess or checkers game can usually be found in the tea area. Stock is carefully organized by subject, author and artist, and every item is electronically cataloged. If you find yourself unable to go AFK, complimentary Wi-fi is provided. AFK Books & Records is especially proud of their teen fiction and kids sections, which are filled with lovingly curated best sellers and classics. In addition to books, AFK has an amazing vinyl selection with over 10,000 records in almost every genre, including singer-songwriter, country, indie, jazz, punk, hardcore, and more.
