This second installment of "A Suggested Itinerary to Get the Most Out of BEA, ABA, and NYC" offers ABA member booksellers tips and highlights for Wednesday, May 26, at the trade show. The first installmentlooked at booksellers' arrival in New York and the ABA Day of Education on Tuesday.

The Second 24

7:45 a.m.: If you're bringing luggage to the Javits Convention Center and need a place to store it, come by the ABA Members-only Bag Check(Room 1E06), then hop over to the Special Events Hall for the Children's Book & Author Breakfast. Of note for Royal-watchers -- Fergie is the emcee!

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Visit the ABA Members-Only Lounge (Room 1E07/08) and note the lineup of authors autographing in the lounge today and tomorrow. Autographing at 10:00 a.m. is Paul Harding, Pulitzer Prize-winner for Tinkers. Kate DiCamillo and Cory Doctorow will be in the lounge, too! Early birds get a taste of Nutella scones, courtesy of Stewart, Tabori & Chang and served by the cooks themselves, the authors of Baked Explorations. A sign-up sheet for booksellers who would like to offer comments at the Town Hall will also be set up in the lounge. The lounge closes at 3:00 p.m. today to allow members and staff to go to ABA's Town Hall and Annual Meetings (Room 1E10).

9:00 a.m.: The trade show floor opens! Join the throngs and fill your book bags with books.

Noon to 1:30 p.m. : Eat, mingle, and admire at the Celebration of Bookselling Luncheon and Indies Choice Book Awards presentation.. All seven winners will be in attendance, and many of the honorees will be as well. Every table will host an Indie Next List author, so be sure to reserve online before this event is sold out (limit two people per store).

3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. : The ABA Town Hall and Annual Meeting will take place in Room 1E10. ABA staff needs and wants your comments and suggestions, to help guide our programs. So, come!
