ABA Forum Program Makes Stops in PA, CT, and MN Next Week

ABA will be holding a Booksellers Forum and Education Program in Kingston, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, March 6; in Shelton, Connecticut, on Tuesday, March 8; and in Bloomington, Minnesota, on Saturday, March 12. All area bookstore owners and staff are encouraged to attend the events, which include a substantive educational component and an update on ABA programs and initiatives, as well as an opportunity to meet with association senior staff to ask questions and to offer comments. In addition, participants will get a broader perspective on how their individual stores fit into the larger book industry.

The Pennsylvania program will be held in conjunction with the New Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association at the Tudor Bookshop in Kingston. The program will run from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. In addition to the forum, education sessions include the "Cost of Goods Sold, 101" seminar and an ABACUS Workshop. The ABA Forum and Education Program in conjunction with the New England Booksellers Association will be held on Tuesday, March 8, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in Shelton, Connecticut, at new member bookstore Center Stage on Center Street: Books, Beans, and Broadway. In Minnesota, the ABA/Midwest Booksellers Association Forum and Education Program will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomington on Saturday, March 12, from 11:45 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The morning begins with "The Human Resources/Benefits Input & Planning Session," sponsored by MBA.
