Bookstores that participated in the ABACUS-12 Survey should have received a customized report analyzing their 2012 financial results.

The reports, which include benchmarking comparisons with other businesses based on multiple criteria (such as sales level, store size, and community type) in addition to year-to-year trending information, were sent via e-mail over the course of the past few weeks.

The e-mails were sent by OnCampus Research Information Analyst Martha Love. If a participating store has not received its ABACUS report, it should contact Love at [email protected] to resolve the issue. (Before contacting Love, booksellers are encouraged to check both their spam filter and with key staff members to see if they may have received it.)

“Once again, many thanks to all the bookstores that participated in this year’s ABACUS survey,” said ABA Content Officer Dan Cullen. “This unique, collective enterprise has again resulted in a wealth of data that will help booksellers improve their operations and profitability. And thanks, too, to our colleagues at OnCampus Research for all their work on ABACUS.”

Booksellers who have general questions about ABACUS should contact Cullen via e-mail or at (800) 637-0037, ext. 7560.
