ABACUS Rebate Deadline July 31

In addition to receiving a wealth of financial information, ABA bookstore members that complete the 2006 ABACUS survey by July 31, 2006, will receive $50 off their next ABA dues renewal. Completing the survey via the secure, easy-to-use, self-calculating Web form only takes about an hour and help is only a phone call or e-mail away. All information provided by bookstores will remain confidential.

Each participating store receives a customized report with detailed analysis of the store's financial results; comparisons with other stores based on more than 20 different criteria; an executive summary of the study's key findings; key insights into the drivers of independent bookstore profitability; year-to-year trends data; and opportunities to participate in ancillary studies.

In addition, the overall results of the ABACUS survey provides valuable data on the performance of independent businesses as a whole that ABA has used to develop its educational programming for BookExpo America, the Winter Institute, the regional association trade shows, and ABA forums.
