The American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression (ABFFE) has announced that it is extending its online auction and adding many autographed items from BookExpo America, including concert posters signed by the Rock Bottom Remainders -- Stephen King, Dave Barry, Ridley Pearson, Amy Tan, Mitch Albom, and Kathi Kamen Goldmark. The Remainders performed at New York's Webster Hall on Saturday, May 4.

The ABFFE Online Auction, at www.abffe.com, has been extended one week to allow time to sell the new items. The auction is now scheduled to close on Friday, May 17, at 3:00 p.m., Eastern Time.

Other autographed items include two large BEA posters signed by many of the nearly 500 authors who autographed books during the convention. The posters, which are mounted, are two feet by three feet. One poster includes the signatures of Joyce Carol Oates, Donald E. Westlake, Philip Caputo, Al and Tipper Gore, Nicholas Sparks, and William Dean Myers. The other includes Barbara Kingsolver, Anita Diamant, Scott Adams, Paul Stickland, Marlo Thomas, and Heidi Fleiss.

ABFFE has also added six boxes of books that were autographed at BEA.

Chris Finan, ABFFE president, told BTW: "There are still great bargains to be had on a wide variety of items in the auction. Save money on a hotel and ticket package for one of the regional bookselling trade shows or flee work for a weekend stay at the luxurious Tarrytown House in Westchester County, New York. There are canvas tote bags that can be imprinted with your store's logo and a box of autographed copies of Jonathan Franzen's The Corrections, as well as armfuls of autographed bestsellers from Denver's Tattered Cover Book Store and Square Books in Oxford, Mississippi."
