On Wednesday, May 8, the American Booksellers Association posted detailed information about the association’s search for its new chief executive officer.

The document, which is available now on BookWeb, was created by ABA’s CEO search committee in consultation with the outside search firm of Isaacson, Miller.

The members of the CEO search committee are ABA Board President Robert Sindelar of Third Place Books, with three locations in the Seattle area; ABA Vice President Jamie Fiocco of Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; ABA Board members Bradley Graham of Politics & Prose in Washington, D.C., Christine Onorati of WORD Bookstores in Brooklyn, New York, and Jersey City, New Jersey, and Annie Philbrick of Bank Square Books in Mystic, Connecticut, and Savoy Bookshop and Café in Westerly, Rhode Island; and ABA member booksellers Gayle Shanks of Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe, Arizona, and Len Vlahos of Tattered Cover Book Store in Denver, Colorado.

Current ABA CEO Oren Teicher announced in March that he would be retiring at the end of the year.
