Announcing the 2008 Indie Bestsellers

The American Booksellers Association has announced the 2008 Indie Bestsellers, this year's top-selling titles at independent bookstores across the country.

The list features the 15 bestselling books in Hardcover Fiction, Hardcover Nonfiction, Trade Paperback Fiction, Trade Paperback Nonfiction, and Children's and Young Adult categories.

ABA has created the 2008 Indie Bestsellers in PDF, DOC, and HTML formats in hopes that stores will use the list as a marketing tool to generate more holiday and year-end sales. Booksellers are encouraged to choose the format that works best for them, and print the list for display throughout the store.

The list is also a great addition to bookstore print or electronic newsletters, where it will remind customers what a great value books are, particularly for holiday gifts. Indeed, books are a gift beyond measure.
