Appointments, Walk-ins Welcome at Wi11 Consultation Station

Winter Institute 2016’s Consultation Station, which is open to all institute attendees, will feature representatives from the American Booksellers Association’s affiliated business solution partners, POS vendors, and others.

The Consultation Station will be open in the Plaza Foyer at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel as follows:

  • Monday, January 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, January 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Vendors will welcome walk-ins during Consultation Station hours, but booksellers can also make appointments with specific vendors in advance; contact information is provided below and on the Consultation Station page on BookWeb.org.

American Booksellers for Free Expression (ABFE)

ABFE offers advice and other resources for booksellers on free speech issues, including how to deal with censorship problems at author events, protecting customer privacy, celebrating Banned Books Week, and more.

Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc)

The Binc Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides emergency personal financial assistance to bookstore employees. Binc also offers higher education scholarships for bookstore employees and dependents, as well as professional development scholarships for booksellers.

OnCampus Research/NACS

OnCampus Research (OCR), a division of the National Association of College Stores (NACS), specializes in financial surveys and research within the collegiate retailing industry and higher education.

PartnerShip

The ABA Shipping Program, managed by Partnership®, provides members with discounts on small package and freight shipments with FedEx, UPS Freight, YRC Freight, and other carriers. PartnerShip will be in Plaza Court 5 and will be available to meet for individual on-on-one consultations.
