ABA's Celebration of Bookselling Luncheon, a highlight of BookExpo America exclusively for ABA member booksellers, will be sponsored this year by Baker & Taylor.

"Baker & Taylor is delighted to sponsor this year's Celebration of Bookselling Luncheon," said David Cully, B&T's president of retail markets and executive vice president of merchandising/digital media services. "We salute the American Booksellers Association for the passion and expertise its members and our retail partners bring to bookselling."

"On behalf of all ABA member booksellers, we extend sincere thanks to Baker & Taylor for its support of this year's Celebration of Bookselling Lunch at BEA," said ABA CEO Oren Teicher. "We're very appreciative that in supporting this event, B&T recognizes not only the unique value of the Indie Next List and the Indies Choice Book Awards, but also the importance of independent bookselling as a channel of distribution in our industry."

The event, which is free and open exclusively to booksellers at ABA member stores, will be held on Wednesday, May 26, from noon - 1:30 p.m. in the Javits Convention Center's Special Events Hall. All seven winners of the 2010 Indies Choice Book Awards are planning to attend, as are many of this year's Honor Award recipients and other handselling favorites.

Booksellers who would like to attend should register individually as soon as possible via an electronic reservation form on Bookweb.org. Questions regarding the lunch should be addressed to Mark Nichols, ABA industry relations officer, at [email protected].
