Binc: Assistance During and After a DisasterThe Book Industry Charitable (Binc) Foundation may be able to help owners or employees with personal household expenses related to the wildfires in the western United States.

In addition, Binc can assist with expenses directly related to the store in certain cases. Here are a few ways that the Binc Foundation may be able to help:

  1. If a displaced owner or employee needs financial assistance to move into a new or temporary residence and are unable to cover the associated expenses, the employee can apply for assistance.
  2. If any employee lost more than 50 percent of their weekly work hours or pay due to the wildfire and this is causing financial hardship, they qualify to apply for assistance.
  3. If a store is damaged and/or must close due to the wildfires, Binc may be able to help with certain expenses to help you reopen more quickly after the threat passes.

Booksellers are encouraged to take a look at the assistance page on the Binc website and to contact Binc directly at [email protected] or (866) 733-9064.
