Booksellers Invited to Share Their Story to Boost #SaveIndieBookstores Donations

Save Indie BookstoresThe #SaveIndieBookstores campaign, which launched on April 2, has raised a total of $758,302 so far, and the campaign continues through April 30.

Booksellers who would like to share their origin story with the American Booksellers Association and be featured among fellow booksellers encouraging campaign contributions should:

  • See some examples in the Story Gallery on the campaign website
  • Send an email with their (edited) story about their experience in bookselling
  • Include a high-resoution photo or video

Submissions can be sent to [email protected]. Many, but not all, submissions will be used.

Booksellers are also encouraged to visit the media kit at SaveIndieBookstores.com to see press coverage and access a variety of digital assets to promote the campaign, including logos and social media images. 

To be considered for a grant, ABA member bookstores can visit SaveIndieBookstores.com to fill out a short application through April 27. Funds will be distributed to eligible stores by May 15.
