BTW Takes a Holiday, But Bestseller List As Usual

There will be no issue of Bookselling This Week during the week of December 22; however, the Book Sense Bestseller List will be compiled and e-mailed to booksellers as usual on Tuesday, December 23. In addition, the list in PDF format will be posted to the Web at www.bookweb.org/booksense/bestsellers/ either late Tuesday or early Wednesday, December 24. Booksellers will receive an e-mail from ABA when posting of the Bestseller List to BookWeb is complete.

BTW will return on Wednesday, December 31. The Bestseller List will be sent on Tuesday (December 30), and the PDF will be up on BookWeb on Wednesday.

"We know that this week and the next are incredibly busy for booksellers, but that makes it even more important for bookstores to document their sales by reporting to the list," said Associate Director of Book Sense Marketing Meg Smith. "So much of what follows in 2004 depends on it!"

Bestseller Reporting Reminder

• Reporting hours begin on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. EST and end the following Tuesday morning, at 3:00 a.m. EST.
  

• If you are a BookScan participant, please report to them prior to 11:00 p.m. EST on Monday for your data to be included for the week.
  

• All others, please go either directly to http://bestsellers.bookweb.org, or click on the "report your bestsellers" icon on the BookWeb.org home page. (Cut and paste the URL in your browser if the link doesn't work for you.)
